Halloween Events This Weekend in Harbor Country!


It’s hard to believe that October is coming to a close and that the winter season will be here before we know it!  However, there’s still time to get out and enjoy the beauty of autumn here in Harbor Country.  Residents and visitors alike understand what makes Harbor Country such a unique place to be this time of year and here at Shoreline Property Advisors, we hope you’ve been enjoying it to the fullest!

- Don’t miss this fun evening of delicious food and live music!  Costumes are welcome as this evening offers a great way to celebrate Halloween.  Food will be provided from local restaurants and live perfomances include the The Smiths band covering the hits of the 60's and 70's!  This evening is fun and is a perfect way to give back.  All proceeds to to to the Ronald McDonald House! - Get dressed in your best costume and join in the fun at the New Buffalo Halloween Parade & Trick or Treat!  Judging for the best costumes starts at 1pm, with the parade taking place at around 1:45pm beginning at North Thompson Street.  After the parade, enjoy getting your sugar fill by stopping by the New Buffalo Fire Department where firemen will handing out treat bags to kids, then Trick or Treat your way from door to door from 2:30-4:30pm. Fun Fall Events This Weekend in Harbor Country!

- New Buffalo Business Association hosts the premier wine event of the autumn season. Enjoy wine tasting from several local vineyards all under one roof! Live music all day, free kids art activities, horse drawn hayrides through town, a pumpkin patch, bounce house and more! - The best chefs in Harbor Country compete against individuals for the coveted "Judges Award"  and "People's Choice Award" in this fun chili cookoff! Enjoy Harbor Country This Coming Labor Day Weekend!

The upcoming Labor Day holiday is an exciting time in Harbor Country as many vacationers and locals alike share in the fun of the last big weekend of summer.  It’s hard to believe that we’ll soon be entering the fall season, but that doesn’t mean that the fun stops in the charming communities of New Buffalo, Harbert, Grand Beach, Union Pier, Lakeside, Sawyer or Three Oaks.  There are a number of great events, festivals and attractions that will keep you enjoying the Harbor Country lifestyle all year long!

Check, Please! Farm to Table Festival at Round Barn

- Join DCatherine De Orio, the new host of tv show "Check, Please!"  as she co-hosts the Farm to Table Fest at Round Barn Winery this coming Sunday!  The festival, will pair chefs from Chicago and Southwest Michigan who embrace the farm-to-table movement with Michigan farmers in order to "bridge the gap and bring people to the source of their food," said Colleen Ryan, who, along with her husband, Tom Neubauer, are co-producing the event with Manilow.

The tasting event will be set up inside a tent on the Round Barn property where chefs will be paired at tasting stations with farmers. Guests will get the chance to taste raw produce from the farmers and then enjoy dishes crafted by the chefs that will incorporate the produce from farms like Green Spirit Farms, Green Acres Farm, Bluestar Produce and others. Local wineries, including Round Barn, Free Run Cellars and Greenbush Brewing, will pour wines to pair with the food.  For more information, visit the Round Barn Winery website
